Clint Hurdle is coming to Pittsburgh

So the Pittsburgh Pirates hired Clint Hurdle as their new manager. Who is Clint Hurdle you may ask? Well his daughter has PWS and he's a huge advocate for our cause!!! I guess he was impressed with Pittsburgh's Children's Hospital so it makes me want to check it out. Its just as close as Columbus really. We are lucky to be central to so many choices I guess. Yeah lucky we don't have a children's hospital in our own state - how messed up is that. Go Pirates!

I'll be rooting for the Pirates now too! Clint's a great guy -- we've had the honor of meeting him a few times when his daughter was working for the Golden State Warriors and organized PWS fundraisers. He came out for the game, met with families and spoke so eloquently about being a parent of a kid with PWS. I'm glad to have him on our PWS team. So interesting -- I hadn't heard that Children's Hospital was part of his decision. And Dr. Gourash and Dr Forster are also in Pittsburgh!!

Glad to hear he's so nice in person! I hope we can meet him someday.
Oh and I just assumed it was children's - My husband heard a segment on the radio saying how he'd just been hired and how he had a child with PW and how Pittsburgh was a great place for kids with PWS. :)
I'm looking forward to seeing whether they'll have some fundraisers that we can attend!!
