My 14 year old son h...We have that issue as well. My 14 year old son has been taking it for a month and we are still feeling our way through all of this. Also, when I put a new cartridge in and tapped the metal part, we had drops come out of the needle for about a minute. Waste!!! The nurse did not have that when she showed us. Has that happened to you and what should we do? I just figured that ...We have always used the pen. I just figured that if her blood work says she is on the right dose than I don't worry about it. As for the 'left over' we just either trash it if it is .2 or under and if we end up just .2 or so short I just add it to the next dose or two.
